Gender-Based Violence (GBV) Working Group (WG) Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Toolkit Guidance Document, 2023 Update

This Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) toolkit was developed and updated in 2023 by the Gender-Based Violence (GBV) Working Group, with support from the European Commission’s Humanitarian Aid and Civil Protection Department (ECHO) and the International Rescue Committee (IRC). It was created to meet the need for a standardized approach to monitoring, evaluation, and reporting key GBV indicators under the Lebanon Crisis Response Plan (LCRP).

This is designed to help both NGOs and UN agencies by providing practical guidance on tracking, assessing, and reporting GBV-related indicators in a more consistent way. Understanding that organizations have varying levels of M&E capacity, the toolkit focuses on simplicity and usability. It allows teams with limited technical resources to collect and analyze data effectively, using manual methods or basic Excel spreadsheets, without needing complex databases or advanced systems. Therefore, you can use this toolkit as a guide to adapt GBV M&E tools for your own projects.
